Professor Sharifah Hapsah led the seminar and stakeholder consultation entitled The Malaysian Care Ecosystem: Assuring the Quality of Caregivers (Focus: Caregivers for the Elderly) during Health Summit Asia 2026.

The consultation brought representatives of government, academia, industry, civil society and care organisations together to examine definitions, competency-based curricula, accreditation, micro-credentials, and structured career pathways for caregivers.
