Professor Sharifah Hapsah provided NCWO’s leadership at the International Women’s Day Forum on gender equality and women’s empowerment within the Malaysia MADANI framework.

The forum addressed women’s rights, institutional reform, discrimination, women’s agency and the need to prevent regression in previously achieved gains. The United Nations record acknowledges Professor Sharifah Hapsah and NCWO’s role in mobilising their organisations and networks to make the forum possible.
