Professor Sharifah Hapsah delivered the opening address at the NCWO Biennial Delegates Conference and reviewed key achievements during the 2016–2018 term. NCWO Forum: Creating an Inclusive Culture
Professor Sharifah Hapsah delivered the welcoming address at the 53rd NCWO Forum, “Creating an Inclusive Culture.” The forum convened representatives of NCWO affiliates and expert panellists to discuss social inclusion, gender equality and the development of institutional and societal environments in which women could participate equitably.
Presidential Message: NCWO’s Women’s Day and Organisational Legacy
Professor Sharifah Hapsah’s presidential message formed part of NCWO’s commemorative record of Women’s Day and the development of Malaysia’s organised women’s movement. The message situated NCWO’s contemporary advocacy within the organisation’s historical role in bringing together women’s associations, professional groups and women’s sections of political organisations to advance the position of women nationally.
